The Buttermilk Café is located in the heritage district of downtown Cobourg, Ontario. Our building was built in the mid 1800's and sits directly across the street from the majestic Victoria Hall, a national landmark. We are proud to say that we have been open since February of 2002.

The Buttermilk Café offers really good comfort foods made from scratch using only the highest quality ingredients. Our commitment to quality means serving food that is preservative-free. We make all of our own breads, soups, pancakes, salad dressings and desserts onsite daily. 

You may enjoy your meal in the charming ambience of our spacious dining room or take in the local colour by dining outside on our front patio. We are committed to serving customers delicious, high quality food that is reasonably priced, all while offering outstanding service.
